Really slow

It's one of those on again, off again things for me too. One time you log on and it snaps to attention. An hour later and you can take a nap between page loads. I'm just wondering if it's really the site proper having the issue or is it more the host is possibly overloaded.

My observations mirror HH's; it's been ongoing to one degree or another for a couple of months - some days very fast and others, like today, down to a crawl. It just took about 60 seconds for my last post to execute. It doesn't seem related to the browser as I use two and have the same experiences with either.

PS - and a few minutes later with this post it's nearly instantaneous.

It's based on Host server load. As you know the server is co-located in a data center with 100s of other websites. So sometimes it's gets a bit loaded and they have to rebalance the websites amongst the hardware resources.

I have a ticket opened with them on this. Also about once a day the website runs maintenance where it repairs, and optimizes the database and cleans out all the temp files. If you happen to be on the website at that time (which takes about 10mins to run) the website will be a snail

My Server provider has fixed the Node issue affecting the performance on my VPS. So what that means is the website should be speedy again.
