Bob also had a 1954 Cavalier with a '55 V8. He drove it out to the Perrysburg Meet one time.

Hi Jack

I'd second the idea that finding a '55 Clipper Constellation with the Torsional-Level option or either '56 Clipper hardtop which could give up its chassis to be used under a '53 Mayfair is probably the best option.

Clipper Sedans might work after studying the differences between sedan and hardtop chassis. Sounds like a worthwhile project.

Proud 1953 Clipper Deluxe owner. Thinking about my next Packard, want a Clipper Deluxe Eight, manual shift with overdrive.

Always wanted a '53 Caribbean on a '56 TL Clipper frame with 374" V8. The best of the best.

Gee whizz Fred, why wait any longer? I have a 56 Clipper frame and a 374, plus all the pieces to add the senior brakes and your choice of stick, overdrive, or Twin Ultra. Be happy to build it for you--we just need that Caribbean.

Thanks for the offer Ross but I have the same problem as I do with the suggestion that I restore a Mercedes 300SL instead of my rust-orchard 52 coachbuilt limousine. I don't have a 53 Caribbean to sacrifice nor do I have a 300SL to restore.
