Anyone got any on the shelf you want to move? PM me.

If not, from whom are you buying them currently?

The usual suspects all have the white box mystery bearings. I'd hoped someone had some old Dura-Bond PA6 still on the shelf.

I've never had any problems with either the cam bearings or the rod bearings. Since the white box Taiwanese are all we've got, it is what it is.

The main bearings are clearly labeled as made by King Bearing out of Israel, but the cam and rod bearings are unlabeled "white box" bearings, usually without any country of origin or manufacturers info on them.

Sounds like a potential problem for the importer. Identity of the country of origin, either on the item or the packaging, is generally required by the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 USC ?1304).

Any known data bases containing modern engine parts with dimensions??? I cant help but strongly suspect that there are engines of the last 20 year that have parts very close or equal to the Pack v8. Hence a program to to search such a DB.

DO THE v8 cam bearings all have same OUTER diameter for press fit in the blok. Ifso i have another hair brain idea.

BTDT and no, I've not found any interchange for bearings.

Other than the Mopar lifters, it's almost as if the Packard engineers went out of their way to make each part a unique dimension. Nothing interchanges with much of anything.

The Cadillac oil pump gears look identical, but the Packard shafts are .005" smaller. The pistons are a common diameter, but the compression height is unique.

Bottom line, no harder than most Packard V8s are run, the white box outlaw tariff act white box cam and rod bearings seem to work OK.
