Rear Axle Shims

I rebuilt my rear end. Did the 3rd member bearings, seals, crush tube. I also did the axle bearings and seals. When putting on the backing plates, the axles are tighter than they used to be and I'm in need of shim plates.

Kanter and Merritt don't have them so if you folks don't have any I'll just buy some shim stock and make some.

Relatively easy job to make additional rear axle shims, certainly the quickest way to finish the job. You only need to do one side unless the thickness of the shim stack exceeds a certain amount. Check the service manual for this.
