Hello everyone, the wife & I just purchased a 57 Clipper 2 days ago, waiting for her to be delivered.
Wanted to say hello to everyone and looking forward to learning about this car (very unique and beautiful).
When she gets here will take a few pics and post her in the Registry!

Best regards
Tim & Marty in Texas

Congratulations and welcome. There are a few other 57 and 58 owners on site so you will be in good company. They will be a good resource if you have questions. We have some 57 info but since 57-8 Packards are Studebaker based our bulletin and literature collection is somewhat limited. We have the parts and service manuals and some information from bulletins but may not have all technical bulletins specific to the car.

Welcome glad to see another 57 owner lots of help here.
Recommend contacting Studebaker National Museum get build sheet for your car.
They also have a informational guide of the 1956 - 58 Studebaker sedans and wagons which also includes the 57 and 58 Clippers. 57 had total of 4809 built wagons and sedans

Hi

Welcome to the Forum, ask any and all question and you'll be surprise and pleased how knowledgeable and generous participants are here.

As HH56 noted, although Packards, the chassis and powertrain are Studebaker. For those questions that can't be answered here, please sign onto the Studebaker Drivers Club Forum. Just like this one, there are many knowledgeable and generous folks there too, and you'll find a hearty welcome there as well.

The South Bend Packards are unique and intriguing cars which become better understood as time goes by. They represent the last chapter in the long and storied history of a fascinating company.
