I just wanted to make sure of the model order for 1941 Packards, Is this the order from base to top of the line,

110,Deluxe,120,160,180 ?? Please correct me if I am incorrect. Thank you

You can verify your model order by checking the Packard Model Info in the Main Menu. Your order looks right, but the Deluxe is an upscale 110 so would not be a separate line in the model order. Don't forget the Clipper. It was first introduced as a 1941 model, but only offered in one version - an 8-cylinder, 4-door sedan. It was meant to fit between the 120s and 160s.

There are hood scripts in the 110 line for "Special", One-Ten", and "DeLuxe". There is a DeLuxe trim option for 160 and 180, but no different badging. I suppose you could further divide the 180's into the factory bodies and the semi-customs from Darrin and LeBaron

Only in certain body styles, not across the line. In the "120" line the only Deluxe (DE prefixing the vehicle number) was for the Station Sedan. In the "160" line there was a Deluxe version of the convertible coupe and the convertible sedan.

Besides the 120 station wagon and the 160 convertible sedan and convertible coupe the 110 line also had Deluxe versions. They are:

1485-DE Club Coupe
1489-DE Convertible Coupe
1484-DE two door Touring Sedan
1482-DE four door Touring Sedan
1463 Station Wagon Deluxe (notice the missing DE suffix)

What is a 110 "Special"?

The base 110 is the "Special" and the DE 110 version was called the "Deluxe."

I've noticed that the 1900 models were the only version that had exterior badging to designate the difference between the two varieties of interior trim level. No such badging appears on 120, 160 or 180 models.

Packard, for the 1941 model year, made a 245 cu. in. 6-cylinder powered motor car (basically the 110s), a 282 cu. in. 8-cylinder powered motor cart (basically the 120s), a 282 cu. in. 8-cylinder motor car the Clipper, and two 356 cu. in. 8-cylinder motor cars (basically the 160s and the 180s) with a wide variety of body styles and model names for each. Some info. on the difference between the 1941 110 Special and the 110 Deluxe. A 110 Deluxe is trimed like a 120 exterior and interior. When the 1941's were introduced to the dealers on sept. 16 1940, the 1941 Special was a stripped 110 Deluxe, no stainless trim on the fenders, no chrome trim around the windshield or back window,no horn ring etc...In Jan of 1941 Packard decided to add some of the trim found on the Deluxe to the Special. Stianless fender strips,windshield chrome trim,horn ring,and a Special script to the hood side panel. They also added a Deluxe script to the hood side panel of the Deluxe models...A 110 script was never used. This all covered by Service Trade Letter T3602 and Dealers Trade Letter 287.
