Hi there all,
I am currently looking to upgrade my 51 grille to the more stylish looking 300 and 400 grille with teeth. I recently read that the grille had "cut out holes" to fit the teeth in??
I did not think Packard would have bothered with the extra work and just welded them in instead. Can anyone clear this issue up please?
Kind regards, Gene.

Welded steel to die cast pot metal? Now that would be quite the trick.

Bolted into place. See group number 30.874024. The outer teeth are different - the inner 6 teeth are the same.

Thanks Ec Anthony, do you know of any pictures online that show the actual method for attachment? Tried the find engine here and google with no luck so far. Thanks for the response though.
Gene.

No picture, but when in doubt check the parts book, it shows sixteen 1/4-14 screws and speednuts.
