I think there is a procedure described in the FAQ section for sizing photos to post. I transfer photos from my iPhone to my iMac, move them into iPhoto, export them from there in a smaller size to my desktop, and then select them from there to post here. This also allows me to do other edits like orientation and trimming.

Not to get off-topic, but the fast answer I use is to upload them from phone to Facebook, then download from Facebook and they're now sized appropriately for posting.

On topic - If I'm remembering correctly, I believe the first number in the serial number will tell you what type - something like 1s and 2s for 288s, 3s for 327 5 main and 4s for 327 9 main. That may not be perfect, but it's along those lines. The letter tells you what series/year.

I don't do facebook, matter of fact I think fb is 1 of the dumbest things on the www. I got so many people that invited me on fb that I blocked fb email as spam!
By the way, did you know that youtube, fb & twitter decide to merge?
The new website is going to be called: youtwitface.Com

Quick note on posting images...BigKev wrote a great resizing program that is on this website. Go to Image Resizing Program I use it all the time, not just for this site but whenever I need to resize an image.

I take my pix with my phone (it's the best camera I own) and then use it to email the pix to myself. I can pick the quality I want so I make them 10% for the forum, that's a good file size.

It's kind of hard to see how they put a bracket under the transmission from the frame rail to frame rail, but if you look at the pictures taken towards the transmission you can see. Also it doesn't have the front engine support of a prewar car, is that the reason this engine was able to fit in the bay without modifications on the firewall?

Hi

Looks to me as if whoever did the conversion knew what they were doing, the work is done in a professional, workmanlike manner. While its not factory, its still all Packard and a car one could be proud to own and drive.

Yes Steve they did a nice job! I made an offer but the owner has an all original price in mind, and there are several little details that are not right, but only PI members would realize it. Here's a fun fact: it has a 4 barrel carburetor on it!
