A 20th Series Clipper is shown briefly and only from the rear near the beginning of the second episode of the Spanish drama on Netflix called Someone Has to Die.

Here is one from "Girl Gang" 1954. A 120 is used as a backdrop. The plot of this low budget deal is a dope addict dealer gives heroin shots to high school girls and sends them out to murder people.

Here is a film noir - "Impact" 1949 where they run a 48-49 Packard convertible off a cliff. Also, a 39 in the background.

Of course, I think it is a studio stunt where they put the car on a rotisserie and zoom out, but the effect is decent. Or some very good modeling.

I like film noirs because they explore the darker side of humanity while meeting out justice, unlike today's system where the bigger the crook the bigger the effort to keep them above the law. It seems the only justice being served up anymore is in old movies on junktube.

I was surprised while watching "Libeled Lady" (1936 MGM with William Powell, Jean Harlow, Myrna Loy, and Spencer Tracy).
Near the end Myrna Loy pulls up in a '36 120 and whisks William Powell away from Jean Harlow. There is a short chase with a cabbie who ends up in the ditch with a flat. The film was shot at night so any movement is a bit blurred but it was a fun surprise to see the car brand new.
I thought it was my '37 until the scene shot on the road at a distance, the single chrome hood vent is quite obvious there. Makes sense too as it would have had to be shot very late in '36 to get a '37.

Here are two more:

First is "Station 13" and in that they recorded the gear whine on that 443 Roadster.

The second is from "Scarlet Street" with Edward G. Robinson. That Super 8 phaeton also shows up in "The Grapes of Wrath", and "It's a Gift".

Those cars sure looked great when they were new. The restored stuff does very little for me in comparison.
