Paying attention, but $500 is way out of my price range right now.

Eric: Would there be any advantage to using the Edmonds
2X2 manifold and carb setup, over the stock factory Packard straight eight four barrel setup. John F. Shireman

Of course. Better fuel distribution for one. The end cylinders can't receive as much fuel as the center ones IMHO, since it has further to travel. This would equalize fuel distribution, and is essentially the same reasoning as to why I'm doing the twin turbos.

Will this manifold also fit a 356 engine? I have two rebuilt Carter carbs on the shelf?

Im not sure if it will fit the 356 as those were all 9 main bearing engines I belive, if im wrong it should fit as long as its a 5 main engine.
I have a edelbrock 2x2 on a 48 Lincoln V12 and it has made a huge difference, all plugs burn about even now and the power has increased enough I need better brakes to stop it. But I did open the intake and exaust runners when I rebuilt it and used larger pipe for the single exhaust and a little cam regrind. Still gets 18-20 mpg with OD in and 70 mph with the top down. If it would fit my 282 I would use it on my 41 business coupe but its to nice to cut up. Attach file: ![]() ![]()

It SHOULD fit a 356, as the manifolds use the same gasket and spacing, but I've never had a 356 so I'm not 100% sure on that.
