Wiper arm removal?

I searched but found little help, unusual for this forum. How do I remove the wiper arms from the shafts? Is there a locking tab under there somewhere that needs to be depressed to allow the arm to slide off of the (I assume splined) shaft?

Getting ready to replace the windshield so those need to come off. The service manual says only, "remove the wiper arm and blade." Gee thanks.

There is a small locking tab that has to be pulled back. Sometimes you can pull the arm and have the tab release on its own. If not then something like a small spring hook has to be inserted next to the shaft to release the tab. Also be aware that in some cases corrosion in the splines between the shaft and arm can make removal very difficult.
