What year/model is this movie Packard?

What year/model is this Packard in the 1953 movie "Blowing Wild," starring Gary Cooper, Barbara Stanwyck, and Anthony Quinn?

I winced watching Anthony Quinn--probably a stunt driver--drive this Packard hell-for-leather over winding and dipping unpaved roads, through dry creek beds, and over exposed rocks.

Looks like a Darrin. 37, 38 or 39?

That was my initial thought, but the car don't have the "catwalk" side grills.

The more I look at the more I think it's a 40 or 41, but I don't see the "catwalks".
It was the 40 & 41 models that had the running boards removed.

With that photo you can't make out the catwalks. Headlights, fender parking lights, hood lover and bumper lead to a 40 Darrin.

Wow! That car is still in existence?! Considering how wildly it was driven in the movie, I'm surprised it survived the filming. But, of course, it could easily have been restored. Still, I'm delighted it is "alive and well."

What makes the car even more interesting, is that Gary Cooper, Barbara Stanwyck, and Anthony Quinn all rode/drove it.
