I'm trying to remove the seat back of my 55 400 rear seat. I cannot find what is holding it in. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

First remove the rear seat bottom by first banging forcefully with heel of hand about 1/4 the way in from each end to disengage the floor mounted retainers. Then lift the front edge to clear both retainers and pull seat bottom forward. Under the bottom edge of the seat back are two bolts with washers , remove. Then push/bang the seat back downward to disengage the top edge from its hooks. It is then free.

Thanks

Thank you. I'll try that in the morning.
