Does it seem OK when cold? Did the problem start pretty much all at once? How much is it leaking from the front? If leaking heavily (ie running out rather than an occasional drip) then the front seal has probably cooked out. Slow drips are just a sign of old age. A real gusher is often a sign that the reactor clutch has seized and is making the convertor create a lot of heat. Extra heat makes for low hydraulic pressure which makes for slippage. What color is the fluid?

It's O.K. up to 25 mph or so. You're probably right about the front seal ( leaves a trail down the street). I just put 2 quarts of fluid in. We just pulled it out of storage also. Fluid is O.K, not burnt.
