Hi I'm currently installing a '49-'50 R-11 O/D Transmission in my '39 Super-8 which had no overdrive. My mechanic and I opened up this newer transmission and besides needing all new bearings found that the previous owner liked to start in 2nd gear instead of first which wore down the teeth on the second gear. Since you can't just slide out the gears for new ones it seems I have to get the whole "Main Drive Gear" on the shaft so I wondered if anyone knows if someone has a spare Main Drive Gear with a decent 2nd gear.
