It is my understanding the material for a closed car is fabric and an open car is leather, more or less.
Since my '37 Sport Coupe has a rumble seat it is a little of both.
What is the proper material to cover the seat?

the entire front compartment is narrow striped wool broadcloth. I believe the choice of colors it tan, blue, green. Parts book or SMS Fabrics are good references.

Rumble seat is leather, probably color coordinated

I would have thought it would have been the real stuff but then I would have thought the materials would have been the same in and out.

Is that "Pleather"? From Plows?

Upholstery that may be exposed to the weather is usually leather or vinyl/imitation leather... but there are exceptions which are often special orders
