Some folks with the early Eights that originally used the stamped follower levers have replaced them with the later forged levers - I don't know if that also can apply to the Sixes but the changeover to forged levers is covered in the Service Letters.

Looks like a poor repair job. Soldered in bushings are not going to stand up.

I have no first-hand experience with the changeover but years back sold a dozen or more of the 1933 and newer style forged levers to various folks who did a changeover, on early 8 cylinder engines as I recall. The following image is from the Service Letters and the implication is that it can apply to both 6 and 8 cylinder motors.
By 1933 the 186671/672 had been superceded by 234584/585; I don't know of these are interchangeable or not. About 2 years ago Egge had indicated they were going to discontinue making the rollers and pins, I don't now whether they actually did so or not.

I did not do the conversion, but my 28 526 has the cast arms.
