Can you please tell me how the top and bottom end covers come off on the 34's bumper ends. Time for mine to be re-chromed.
Many thanks
Terry

For the Eight and Super Eight it's just a bolt with fancy ends. The bottom end cap has a recess for an Allen wrench, insert and unscrew the bottom cap. It's probably going to be rusty, start with some rust-buster a few days before. On my Eight the end caps were not chromed but skinned with a stainless steel shell.

If you have the 1933-36 Parts List for Eights and Super Eights, see pages 19A thru 19G, some good illustrations.

On the 12's and Supers with the large ends the caps are pressed on. Catch an edge with a drift or chisel and gently tap up moving around so it does not cock
