Beautiful bicycle! Being a klutz as I am, though, the ornament would scare me that I would fall onto it as I nearly did on my 1948 Henney-Packard’s.

Hello and thanks much for the kind words. The vintage bicycles in my collection of this caliber just are not ones I would ride any more. It is tough enough to get them all together (with the correct parts) and restored– much less to ride them. And with the values where they have risen these days? Suicide to think of riding these vintage bicycles when one can get a rider at Wal-world for less than $100 bucks, with no worries about falling and breaking pieces either of yourself or a precious collectable like one of these!

I'll be posting more Packard Bicycles items to come, but this week coming up I will be busy with the Packard Club National Meet for 2024....

Thanks for visiting!

In the meantime, here is a lady's prewar Packard bicycle (manufactured by Cleveland Welding Company)... as found at America's Packard Museum in Dayton, Ohio.

This Packard bicycle is missing its original headlight and there is a partial amateur re-furbish on the paint (the factory never painted over bearing cups or on headbadge screws). But otherwise this Packard bicycle is pretty much intact....

And... you may find it worth knowing that at one point CWC supplied wheels and technology to Packard Motor Car Company....

And here's how it looks through a window from outside. The 1953 Caribbean behind the Packard bicycle was rumored to have been ordered by singer, Perry Como...

And... if you like this Packard bicycle, there is another in parts currently for sale on eBay! Better still, the paint on this one appears to be factory original.

The eBay auction item number is: 166920089360

Here is an image of the frame and headbadge from eBay...

This one certainly deserves to be saved!

Now, from Packard bicycles by Cleveland Welding Company (CWC) of Cleveland, Ohio to Packard bicycles by Colson Corporation of Elyria, Ohio.

Here is an original catalogue page from 1937. Take a look!
