AFAIK, the only convertible made by the Kaiser corporation was on the '49-'51 Frazer.

Nixon for me, so anything I know may not be the truth.

Well, there is a coat of arms, right inside the "bump in the middle" that carl pointed out, below the knight ornament. It's in the center of the black rectangle, and in the upper left-hand corner of that rectangle, you'll see an "F".

The "Vagabond" was in our family for many years. Dad just couldn't buy a car that could ever be identified by the ordinary motorist.

I saw that ad many years ago in a National Geographic. Wish I'd kept it, as well as a "Studebaker-Packard" MERCEDES ad. Mercedes apparently distributed for a short time through Studebaker-Packard dealerships... no wonder that Mercedes-style grill showed up on the Studebakers of those years... come look at the German car and buy a sexed-up American version for thousands less!

Funny thing about that Vagabond. The ad shows the back open and the passenger side back door, but interestingly the back door on the driver's side was a FAKE! It had a handle etc, but inside was a place for the spare tire, or for a kid that you didn't want close to a door (like me at the time).

What does this have to do with Packards again? Oh yeah! Hood Ornaments!

Funny that it's a Vagabond, as I turned down a Kaiser Traveler a couple of years ago. Wish I wouldn't have, but it was pretty far gone.

This car came with '56 Clipper hood ornaments, taillights, badging, wheel covers and a dash reminiscent of same car when new...
