Tom, from Prairie Auto Porcelain just sent me a photo of my finished manifolds- they're so pretty, I'm tempted to hang them on the wall just to look at!!

They do great work- can't wait to install them.

Was able to drill out and retap the broken stud hole. Just got some Packard green paint (Bill Hirsch) to touch up around the manifolds. Will post a photo after all complete. Thanks for everyone's help!

Got the exhaust manifold installed yesterday- brass flat washers, lock washers and 5/16 - 24 nuts. I went with the OEM gaskets from Max Merritt , using a small bead of Permatex Ultra Copper on both sides of the gaskets. The intake manifolds for the 840 are three separate pieces: two smaller horseshoe shaped pieces and a large central barrel that connects to the carburetor. I went ahead and bolted all three together prior to install, but now it's quit heavy and bulky- gonna be a two man job to bolt it up to the engine! Any thoughts or advice?
