From e-bay,
https://www.ebay.com/itm/KR-WILSON-PU304-PACKARD-ULTRAMATIC-TRANSMISSION-ASSEMBLY-LIFTING-BRACKET-TOOL/312741869979?hash=item48d0de399b:g:g7gAAOSwALBb4fzk

Looking at the 2 Ultramatic transmission cases, I now see how this lifting tool works, but only on the old style case.

Looks like the other transmission in post #9.
BUT

The torque converter in post #9, is different?

So really no changes on 51-51 standard/standard overdrive transmissions thru the years?

Yes and no. The Henney-Packards had tougher gears to handle the three-ton weight and it has been my personal observation that all 1951 through 1954 Henney-Packards had OD transmissions even if the option was not ordered. It it were ordered, a different rear end ratio would be used and all the electrical and hardware OD bits would be installed.

The point is, a Henney transmission would work fine in a passenger car but probably not a good idea the other way around. If anyone has a Henney transmission, I'm looking for one!
