I didn't find a clip in the box of random stuff that came with the car. Rusty McRustface is missing that part also. I'll check Napa tomorrow to see if they have anything. Otherwise I will either drill a hole and use a cotter pin, or grind a groove and use a hairpin. I'd like it to be correct though, if at all possible.

Hi Kevin
Dorman makes those clips. You may however have to buy an assortment to get the one you need.

Did you ever find the clip? If not, I just found an NOS kit of some sort, apparently missing some bits, that has the clip in it. However, I’ll need to know today or tomorrow as the shop is about to be closed until the next trip.

Don - I have not found the clip. Don't worry about sending me anything yet. I'm going to swing by Napa on Saturday to see what they have. If they don't have it then I'll see what I can find online. Otherwise I'll just drill a hole and use a cotter pin.

Napa had some universal clips that work. I had to bend the replacement clip a bit different but it should work. Thanks everyone for your help!

Date night tonight with my wife. We have spectacular sunsets around here. Had to pull over to get a glamour shot.

The Panama is running great. Might need to clean/replace the dimmer switch. The headlights weren't coming on (everything else was) and I tracked it down to the dimmer switch. Clicking it once or twice got the lights to come on normally. I assume it's the original switch still.

The switch is fairly common piece shared by many manufacturers. But I'd image Gerry at Packards Southwest probably had a coffee can full of them lying around.
