I'm wondering if its the same as was used in 1933/34 which was characterized by a raised bead at both outer edges and the embedded steel wire in the center? The steel wire hooked and secured the welting at the ends and a hook bolt around the wire pulled it taut into a small notch in the cowl. Perhaps checking the parts books will provide an answer.
If you can confirm that your car used the same or similar welting, I can send photos of the OEM reproduction welting kits that was available many years ago.

The parts book shows a "radiator bonnet ledge liner", a "Bonnet dash liner role", and a "Bonnet dash liner" They are all different part numbers for 1933 and 1932, But they could be the same material just one is in a role and the other is cut to length. I don't know. The part number is the same 1928 thru 1932.

I found an old post from 2011 which didn't show up on my last search for some reason. Back in 2011 it showed ? inch wide with a wire in it. Thanks, You guys are always a wealth of knowledge.

For what it's worth, here's the material I installed on my 1934 Eight perhaps 40 years ago, it was sold then as an exact OEM reproduction which it appeared to be as I removed what was left of the original. It's wax-impregnated, 3/4" wide, center wire, and raised bead on both outer edges. No rivets used for installation. I don't recall who the vendor was and I haven't seen it advertised for decades. Hope this is helpful.

Just bought lacing for my 36 120 Conv/Coupe form Max Merrell looks pretty good. They did not have the split rivets, found them on line
