You can typically get a good idea of that sort of thing by looking at the sales brochures published on this site. Of course, brochures are produced before the cars are but still, it would be close!

I agree with Don. I find that people tend to err on the side of going too wide for the era.

I will take the advice not to get them too wide. Not over 3 inches seems to be OK for the time period after looking at old factory pictures and two brochure copies of the Constellation some people have sent me.
