Dragged home another four-door rust bucket on Sunday. It's basically a pile of parts, too. The whole side of the car shakes at the bottom when operating the doors. You know, that's just a damned shame.

Parts will be listed in the other thread as they become surplus.

Wat, you are becoming quite the Packard purchaser/collector! I love these Clippers, the styling is fabulous.

Not that familiar with all of these, but the last two are 41/42 and 46/47?

What models had the script on them?

Thank you, gentlemen. I, too, like the Clipper styling very much, especially the fastback look on the coupes. It dawned on me the other day that the Clipper may be the last for-real Packard, but that's an idea whose argument hasn't gelled completely in my head.

The gray one of a '47 2106. The blue one is a no-options '41 which came with some miscellaneous extra parts and sheetmetal. Both are missing a lot of floor and have a lot of other rust-out problems, so I see each as a heap of parts.

Not sure what you mean by script. Each of these has the word "Packard" in script on the lower left corner of the trunk lids. I can't recall sitting here which has script on the front fenders and doors at their intersections. I'm not a fan of the script flags on the dashboard centers, but then I may build a genuine wooden dash board for the farthest gone coupe, should we get to that.

And I have four more coming. Yeah, I know . . . .

Putting some quality time in on dismantling Rusty Bucket, the 2122 sedan I dragged home from Wisconsin. I swear, stuff on that car is stuck and it ain't got a right to be stuck, or not that stuck. And for all of the room under the hood, there are a couple of things which you just can't quite get to because something else is in the way.

Toyota would be proud.

Had been in touch with a guy who had a running big 8 for sale. A tad more than I wanted to pay but would have as the videos looked good - and smoke-free. He's been a bit hincky to get in touch with, going dark on me. Checked his ad aging tonight.

It's listed as sold.

Got this one home this evening. Twenty one zero three. Might move to the front of the line as far as making a runner. We'll see.

Wat,

How many Packards/Clippers does that make now? If possible would you be able to include them all in the Packard Vehicle Registry?
