OMG - Fred has been reincarnated as a CAT!! For those who don't remember, The Original (or at least most recent last) Fred was a dog whose only mission in life was to sleep under JW's 39 Super 8....

At one point, she was under the hood looking around but escaped before I could get the phone out for a picture.

Further inspection:

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

Or it could be a different Fred, which is a great name for pets. I name lots of things Fred, like all of these cars. We now have Red Fred, Black Fred, Gray Fred (also called Rusty Bucket), Blue Fred, and Black Fred Sedan.

Fred has inspected the new acquisition pretty thoroughly while I (tried to) arrange and put away (at least for the moment) parts. In the truck, in the passenger compartment, and under the hood. I have a high shelf with the front seat of my 6 banger coupe, and she sleeps on those as it suits her. She likes watching me from on high, if possible, and up close if she wants to. It's All About Her, yet she's very sweet about it. She watches the barn and the outside critters. Her sister (whom Fred loathes) lives inside. She is Ethyl.

Parts that seem to defy the aging process (at least on mine) and tend to show up in good condition or better: hoods. Sometimes trunk lids.

Parts I haven't seen a sound one of yet: front turn signal lenses. Look good (once) and disintegrate upon removal. FML!

Wat,

How many Packards/Clippers does that make now? If possible would you be able to include them all in the Packard Vehicle Registry?

We're (Fred and I) up to five now. All Clippers.

1941 sedan (added)
1942 six-banger coupe
1947 2100 coupe
1947 2103 sedan
1947 2106 sedan (added)

The two added will get parted out. That sounds better than stripped-n-scrapped, but it's pretty much the same thing.

Good 127" wb front fenders are tough to find. I have my eye on a set of shorties.

Since this "collection" here almost seems to have taken on a life of its own, I wonder if I should rename this thread Wat's Clipper Coven.

Fred sure gets around but I’d bet he doesn’t help much otherwise.
