If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

Took Mom to breakfast yesterday. It was a good day to have the Deluxe out and about. And good enough to warm the crankcase for an oil change. So, out with the dinosaurs and in with synthetic. Also went a bit lighter with 5W30. At roughly $5/quart, it may well be cheap insurance. It still makes more-or-less 40PSI and I'm just not sure what it registered at idle before. Seems to be 25-30 at idle now. My big truck with 62K miles makes 32 at idle and 52 at speed, so it's likely close enough. The truck has a digital readout.

Now it makes me wish that I had stared at the oil pressure gauge more before.

Went to the meeting at church yesterday afternoon and as we left, one friend observed that he couldn't hear it running, so I guess that it's still Packardish enough.

The Staph Car comes home this weekend.

Out of the house early tomorrow to go to collect what has fondly become called The Staph Car.

Wish me luck. It came with the trailer and I hope that it isn't a piece of $#!t.

The Staph Car is home, version east. It's been a long damned day. I95 is so screwed up, there was a 30+ minute delay at 0500 such that taking the back route gave a better arrival time. Good thing that was the plan anyway.

Mostly, the trailer made it. The lights are shot. I wonder if someone makes a trailer wire harness and you just cut the old crap out, zip-tie the new one in and put on some new lights? It could be just that easy, right???

Turns out, it is that easy. A new 25' harness and a pair of LED tail lights and a couple of running lights is under $50 delivered Monday, if I want - assuming that I read it correctly. Directions available online, too.

Wat hates wiring . . . .

The new avatar is Fred's sister, Ethyl, in a Milwaukee tool bag. Little cats doing little cat stuff. I got lucky and got the phone out and the picture taken just before she bounded off to annoy the other cat.

Bought that manifold in the other thread. Reckon we'll corner the market on those, too. ;)

If Ethyl thinks she is a tool, put her to work the next time!

Glad to see that you and Fred are still cornering the market on Clippers!!

I like that black one you are driving, I can give it a good home with me when Fred gets tired of it.

Ethyl is like Fred and the horses. Her job is to supervise. One of the horses has decided that he can come into the car barn, so it's all downhill from here.

And now, it's time for another exciting round of Find Fred:
