Two more days left of work, and then I get to blow town to go to visit the Major Collection. Of course, I have more to do than time to do it in, but adults make priorities, so I'll do my best to act like one.

The guy with the piece of dirt across the road from the farm died late last summer. He had disinherited his kids, so his buddy the junk yard guy was doing the estate settlement. We told him to tell us his plans before he sold the land. Today, he called the landlady and told her what he wanted for it. It's a fair (enough) price. So we're scrambling around scratching money together. I'll keep this house here until time comes to dispose of it, so this is going into pocket plus looking at another loan. Thanks be to Allah for a decent job and the ability to work still.

There's plenty of room for a hangar . . . .

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

Wat's comment from previous post: "Of course, I have more to do than time to do it in, but adults make priorities, so I'll do my best to act like one."

With this latest post and picture, I understand now about why you have more to do than you have time to do!
Didn't realize that you had a '55/'56 Packard also Wat!

Isn't the hood ornament on the '55 a non-stock item? Regardless, I like it.

The two statements are not incongruous. I typed that while at work while taking a break from the heat. I was the poor benighted b@st@rd who got to unload 5 pallets of light fixtures and put them away. I had to stop and belt some agua.

Got a favorable phonecall about the new farm. Looks like Fred will be expanding her holdings. Since she will, when it goes through, own land on each side of the road, I think she plans to install a toll booth.

I found that late model quite by accident and simply passed it along.

All but ready to go. Car is on the trailer, truck is all but loaded, and cats are in for a surprise.

"Damn it, Human, another road trip?"

This will turn out to be a much busier visit than the last one.

Here, Out West. The trip was decent. The cats rode well. They're good kids.

The new/proposed farmlette is just about what I expected. Needs work, but Wat knows A Guy. Fred seems to approve, too, and with land on either side of the road, she doesn't need to be convinced that smart money is to install a toll booth.

Took the Deluxe to town for breakfast. It did fine within its hiccup.

Fred has inspected the Virginia car thoroughly. She seems pleased.

Very nice! Why didn't you arrange for the trip odometer to match or did Fred forget to remind you?
