Thank you!!!

Fred developed some mats in her fur on her lower back, so the landlady took the clippers and clipper her but. She looked a bit like a poodle now. It'll grow back.

Been workin' for the Man too much and for Wat too little . . . .

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

Not dead yet. Of course, not accomplishing what I'd like, but it could be worse. Worser.

Got a road trip this weekend to take a look/see at a 1947 Super Clipper 2103. It'll be a busy series of weekends for the balance of the month if it's worth making a deal for.

There is an unrestored 1942 1505 Custom Super Eight (2-door fastback) for sale on Facebook but, as it’s in a private group that few can see, I did not post a link. I can, however, put you in touch with the seller if you PM me your contact information! He wants $4000 for it including a 22nd series car.

Couldn’t post a photo as it the new way keeps giving an “unsupported type” error even though it’s a listed as acceptable format. Finally had to use the old way to attach it which worked.

Yes Wat, we sure have missed reports of your and Fred's exploits! Glad all of you are going well. Of course, we will expect pics of the Super Clipper even if you don't purchase it.

I'd be happy to talk to the person. PM sent.

I'll see what I can do about that.

Fred's clipped butt is growing back in. She has settled into being a housecat, but it took awhile.

Rode up to NYC The Place Not To Be (or to be from, as in Far From) over the 11th and 12th. Looked at a 1947 Super Clipper 2172/2103 sedan-type model. Big engine, 3-speed and o/d, no electromatic clutch thingie. Man says the engine has a stuck open exhaust valve in #2. Okay. Something tells me that it's not mechanical, like a busted spring or the like, but that the stem is corroded and it won't close. Don't ask me where this feeling comes from - who knows, and it could be wrong. Then I remembered a conversation we had here once upon a time about the 356 and the Wolf Whistle and sticky valves. I then looked at the pictures - see the one below.

I'm going back on the 25th and 26th to collect it.

It appears to have once had an Electromatic but is now another sad case of that option becoming non functional. Perhaps no one understood how it worked to repair it or more likely parts were unavailable or too expensive to be worth repairing so the larger components were removed and thrown away in order to provide easier service access to something else.
