Auto transport recommendations

Good morning Groupies....
I have been working with a transport company for about 3 weeks, trying to get a couple vehicles shipped from West Monroe, New York to Kempner, Texas.
They just cancelled my request. They increased the shipping quote over double without consulting me first. When I questioned this change, they cancelled my shipping request.
So, here I am, trying to get a shipper to move these for me.
Any recommendations out there ?
The company that cancelled is Mercury Auto Transport. Not real happy right now !

Go with the major carriers (e.g., Interstate, Reliable, Passport). Go directly to the carrier not a broker. Expect to pay about $2 per mile for covered transport.

Passport shipped the Duchess Oregon to Maryland last year. Enclosed. Same truck and driver the whole way. Right on time and money.

About 3-4 years ago when I shipped mine from Connecticut to Florida, I used Horseless Carriage. Other than their calling to ask if they could delay pickup for one day, everything went great. Spotless truck, professional and personable driver, and on time delivery. It didn't hurt that I found the price to be less than I had been expecting.

I have used Passport and Horseless Carriage with great results with both. I would avoid brokers.
