Illinois salvage yard
#1
Below is a link of an old salvage yard in central Illinois. There a few Parkards in the yard around this year.
The owner is slowing trying to sell the cars out of the yard, if interested I provide you with the yards owner.

Tad,

You seem to be very busy scanning the countryside for Packards.

It looks like I am partial to Parkards because this is a Packard website, I like old cars in general.

I just sold a 59 Edsel Ranger, I have a 49 Buick Super Eight in the garage that is going to be sold next and a 1956 Pontiac gasser drag car from the sixties (time slips still in the glovebox)that I need to pickup in Oklahoma. I jointly have 27 Ford roadster that is an original 50's hotrod, it ran Bonneville in Aug. of 1955(173 mph), a 1929 Ford Model A my dad bought from the original owners in 1968.
I know where there is a 40's vintage Packard sedan (formal body style, not the upside down bath tub)that has been for sale a long time. The car doesn't look bad from the road, The next time I'm in the area I will take and post the pictures.

I just like to tinker and the feeling of finding a good deal.

Tad,

Keep those pictures coming. I really like the Rod - Had a background in rodding and drag-racing years ago when I was a boy, as us old timers say(60YO). But, as time moves on, I have turned to Packards while maintaining an appreciation of all things automotive.

The salvage yard is 10 minutes west of Bloomington, IL.

The yard is full of old cars, If you wnat and this forum doesn't mind I can post more of this yard, but the pictures won't be of Packards.

Mal,
Are you making any headway with the coupe?

Tad,
The Coupe fell through but I'm still on the look-out for a late 30's early 40's Packard Coupe. Watching ebay etc. Thanks for your continued interest.
