I was testing my coils for my 1608 and one show open on the secondary field. Are they repairable or are there any new or used ones available?

Thanks in advance.

Generally not repairable. Reproductions have been continuously available for many years from Bob Conolle, I don't have his contact info at hand but he advertises regularly in hobby publications. He's located in Davenport Iowa. I've been running with his dual coil setup in my '34 Eight for some years now, no problems.

I would be leery about used or NOS, given their age even if functional today they may not have much remaining life ahead of them.

Did the V12 distributor cap have 12 posts? Or did they use 2 distributors like Cadillac and Lincoln.

I believe the advertising is still in PAC.

I haven't tested my dads yet..but might make my own holder for 6 volt coils on the market.

The wiring is different.
