Wainting on windlace to bind the carpet prior to stitching in the details on the door panels.
Made 1 3/4 inch stuffing chanels out of aluminum flashing,
Found that the bulk 2" cotten needed to be double thickness for a good match to the original feel of the seat.
4" strip folded over for the narrow chanels. Double layer of 4" cotton for the wide chanels. Then once over with a rolling pin.

Got side panel detail stitching done today.
Found that blue tape made a great line to follow with no damage to the cloth.

The seat and door panels look excellent. Great tip on the painters tape too. What type of machine are you using to sew with?

After several months off we have finished the rear doors, seat, and side walks and have them installed. I have some small adjustments to do later.
I'll add a couple more pics tomorrow as I can't load the video I wanted..

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.
