It is a 1951 Model 300 with an incorrect 1952 cormorant hood ornament. The block lettering on the hood and the trunk emblem clearly identifies this car as a '51. For 1952, Packard toned down the cormorant emblem by altering the height of the wings. And when the bird folded her wings, it was a sign that the end was near for Packard. Or so I was told.

It's the proper hood ornament but the wings are on upside down with the left and right on opposite sides to fit. Yes, I know it resembles the 1952 style but trust me, it isn't! Look again closely at the notch in the wing which for 1951 would be at the back and 1952 would be on the bottom but also the shape is wrong for 1952. On this one, they are at the top which means upside down 1951 wings.
