There are websites like Kanter and Max Merritt. And across the country there are probably 100 independent parts dealers. I believe there is a partial list somewhere, but I don't know where.

Realistically, if you post about what you need in a project blog here, it's likely that someone that "knows a guy" will see it. For most parts that aren't gaskets, seals, rebuild kits, etc. you won't find them on major websites.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

Patrick, you have posted in the Studebaker Built Packards forum, so I presume you are referring to the 1957-58 Packards. They are basically a Studebaker with trim and other changes. Studebaker International is a good source for Studebaker parts.

Because we don't hang them and we answer them anyway.

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

I am not sure why, but the website keeps hanging up whenever I try to post.

There is a directory of the major suppliers including those mentioned in the Main Menu on this website, to the left of your screen normally.

The Packard Club (www.packardclub.org) has a downloadable PDF vendor directory.

Many of the local Packard Clubs such as Northern California Packards (norcalpackards.org) also have their local list.

I have worked with Tucson Packards for some oddball or special parts, such as a bezel for the starter switch of my '55 Clipper.

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...
