Timing chain removal

Hello. Does anyone know how to take the timing chain off of a 327? The only thing I can think of is there is a little pin holding a 1.5” nut on the camshaft gear. Would I have to pull that out? If so does anyone have any suggestions on how to pull it out; it is stuck in there pretty good.

Been too long to remember clearly, but isn't there a stampled steel locking plate behind the nut with a tab or ear folded upwards against one of the nut flats to retain it? IIRC, then it's bend the tab back, remove the nut, then pull the gear.

No pins. The gears are keyed and quite tight, often requiring a gear puller to get them off. As Dave (Owen_Dyneto) said, there is a locking plate with ears to be flattened too.

Oh, I see now. The thing I thought was a pin was the ear I need to bend back. Thank you for all y’all’s help and I’ll let ya know how it goes
