Wow, that sanding block on your bench is older than original sin! I had one for years and it finally fell apart! Ernie in Arizona

If he's not interested, I could be talked into it.

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

Gentlemen, apologies for the lack of reply. I made this post, it sat for a couple days without replies, I went on a weekend vacation without internet, now I see it has several. Thank you very much. This car needs to be used to Chauffer a bride to her wedding on and be used to cart guests to and from a venue with limited access.

This will occur on the 4th of sept so time is of the essence.

Located in Wa state. Thanks!

Photo of car. Rebuilding wheel cylinders and replacing the brake hoses.

And photo of damaged Carb. The back of the venturi is broken as you can see. The hollow screw that carries from the accelerator pump outlet to the sprayer jets is stripped (the carb is stripped) I went to repair with helicoil and the back of the carb just came off. Car is new to us so we are just working out the kinks.

As an aside, these are difficult to remove and make rear brake work no fun!

The cat will hereby pretend that she is gracious and will bow out.

Likely she scratches the next person she sees . . . because she can.

An impart wrench, especially a rechargeable one, is probably not sufficient to break the drum free. The end of the puller also needs a sharp rap or two with a large steel mallet between tightening and once enough force is put onto it, it should pop off. The puller should have a hammer-type device on it too where radial force can be supplied using the mallet that will far exceed anything that any impact wrench can do. I've never had one of these not come off easily and with little effort when doing it properly.

NO, NO, NO!!! DO NOT HIT THE END OF THE PULLER!!! This could damage the center block between the two axle shafts. Also, leave the axle nut on but backed off several threads. This will prevent the drum and puller from flying off. Patience will be rewarded.
