Hi

There are very few Packards advertised on Craigslist these days. But did find a few, just tried to post them but it wouldn't work. Last posting was a month ago.

I can't post on there either. I wrote to Kev a while back but he has not responded.

Maybe there is some hidden post count or post data limit that has been reached, is my guess.

Perhaps PackardDon will have a better idea.

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

Do you mean that the difficulty is in posting links here? There is a limit to how many can be posted at once but otherwise I have no idea as I don’t use the xoops software that this site has.

Yep, hasn't worked for me, either.

I even gave it a good cussing to no avail.

Can start a new version? A "Part Deux?" I always thought that thread was great entertainment.

Thanks gentlemen. Reassuring to know it's not just my computer not getting through.

Probably is time to close the old one full of dead CL links, get a 'Part Deux' if Big Kev approves it.

Since CL started charging $5 to post a vehicle listing, the number of collector cars in general has dropped off. Facebook Marketplace is still free, that's where a lot migrated. But, in general, people seem to be keeping their Packards, or so it seems.

I repost some with photos on the AACA Forum, For Sale - Not Mine section, so check their periodically.

Steve

Added 9-5-2022: I just got it to take a single listing but wouldn't do more than one even when I tried editing and adding a second.

As I understand it the CL thread was called that because at the time it began, Craig’s List was one of the few games in town other than eBay. However, the thread has always been open to other For Sale venues too. Probably not eBay as it’s easy to search but some of the more obscure or regional auction sites or even Facebook are probably fine although the latter often requires a membership to view which many aren’t keen on getting.

There is a 1954 Henney Limo for sale on Facebook Marketplace in Cincinnati OH for the bargain price of $975. Looks to be a good parts car. Drivetrain, suspension, some trim and odds-n-ends. Apparently, the website won't let me post a link to FB. You can PM me for the link if that'll work.

Wat knows bupkis about Henneys, but I might get interested over the engine. I'm not sure that the darn thing would fit on my trailer.
