Relatively rare 1953 Sportster just showed up on Facebook and for those who do not use Facebook, here is a photo. The seller wants $2,500 and says it’s solid with solid floors and has good chrome and bumpers. He said he pulled the engine to do an LS swap, then decided to keep it stock before losing interest.

Wonder if it has overdrive? Usually I check for the OD relay box in underhood pics, but no underhood pics included.

I check for the under-the-dash pull-out shut-off thingie. That is the technical term for it, right???

Anyway, I'm not sure where that is on these cars, but there's no shot of where it would be on cars 10 years older.

I just checked an ad again for a guy who thinks his apart 356 is gold, and Wat offered him a more pedestrian price which was roundly rejected. Trans is a non-o/d unit, which I just noticed. Not sure I've ever seen a seenyore tranny without an o/d before.

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

I think that I just heard Fred's eyes roll around like marbles in a tin can.

Guy in NH selling a 53 LIMO for $750. Looks like a decent body if you need limo parts.

51 300

Would be a decent project for about 1/3 of what they are asking...

As the owner of a 1939 Six, I have a special affinity for 1938 and 1939 Packards (and even the 1940 models). Here are a few currently available on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace:

Very nice 1938 Eight sedan on Long Island, NY.

1939 120 sedan in Ohio. Ad says it is a 1939 Corvette, but it is a Packard and has not been street rodded.

1938 Six Coupe in Georgia. Appears to be well restored, but unfortunately has an incorrect black vinyl interior.

1938 120 Coupe in California. Needs a total restoration, but appears to be relatively solid and complete
