I spotted this item in the catalog for the upcoming Southeby's auction of the Gene Ponder collection to be held September 22-24. I think it is a beautiful item and certainly quite rare. I thought that there might be some interest on this site, particularly if you happen to own a 1952 model Packard. It would look awesome hung up in your garage. This is about the only Packard item in the collection which includes both cars and memorabilia.

Unfortunately, there are no Packard cars in the collection. It seems that this collector was primarily interested in foreign sports cars, particularly MG's. They are the bulk of the collection.
