Hello, and thanks for adding me. I have scoured the internet looking at Packard and Studebaker-Packard models to no avail.

The attached is a picture of my dad taken before I was born. I cannot ask him, unfortunately.

So it appears to be a 2 door 400, likely in the 1955 - 58 range

The slanted grill next to his left thigh is one attribute that eludes me. This seems to be missing from many restored Packards I have seen at shows. Most of the time the grill is straight up-down. Also the LF fender has a name that isn't supra, or Packard ... seems longer. Studebaker, possibly?

Thanks in advance

Jake

That's a 1956 Mercury Monterey.

I recognized it almost instantly because I know a guy with a 1956 Mercury Montclair which from the outside is essentially the same car, pretty much only the script on the front is different. He'd probably sell it to you if you'd want.

Just curious, what made you think it was a Stude or Packard?

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.
