Try typing StaLube as one word, Technically it’s Sta-Lube but when I type as one word, lots of products come right up.

Certainly.

The product at the end of the link I had posted is the correct bottle/description?

I just want to confirm.

You want GL-1!

What comes up for me on your link is GL-4 which is a hypoid differential gear oil. This is NOT what you want for a standard shift gearbox.

The experts would have to answer whether it’s the proper one or not but it seems extraordinarily expensive for only a quart! Whether it’s good or bad and I have’t tried it yet, I bought Royal Purple, a brand my father always used for engine oil.

I've tried posting a few times since the last message on the thread without it going up. I still haven't had success in finding a GL-1 oil with a 140ish viscosity.

The Royal Purple you have listed here is available locally, so I will look further into that...but for now I'll probably disappear until I find resolution or have something else to report. Running out of season!

Millers Oils are extraordinarily expensive AND Amazon.com has shipping charges on their products. I buy many things on Amazon and done right, there is virtually never any shipping charges without being a Prime member.

In a previous life I had a 1973 Datsun 240Z. I bought it in 2003 when living in Walnut Creek. It was an especially nice one having been well cared for and in the same family for 30 years. It had a noisy 4-speed transmission. A neighbor, who was an excellent mechanic, suggested I use Royal Purple synthetic gear oil in the transmission. I did and it made a big difference in reducing noise. I sold the car several years later when living in Austin. It lives nearby in Santa Fe with the Royal Purple still in it.

I have tried amazon, but it appears that the Miller oil recommended is only available to US customers.

I have found a distributor in eastern Canada that carries Miller...still waiting to hear back on if they can get the GL-1, which is not listed on their website.

In searching around, I did find

https://www.amazon.ca/Spectro-Performance-Oils-R-HDPGO-Platinum/dp/B003B04ND6/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3RZUHX274EDDJ&keywords=Millers+Oils+7925+Green+Gear+Oil+140&qid=1680534485&sprefix=millers+oils+7925+green+gear+oil+140%2Caps%2C121&sr=8-2

but I'm not sure if it is additive free or compatible yet.

Still on the hunt, it seems.

Thanks to everyone on the forum for their help!
