Does anyone know what happened to the MacArthur car that Don MacClellan used to own? It's the only other "factory built" 1942 Clipper with a/c that I'm aware of.

There is also the ex-Hollingsworth '42 2 door Clipper that is a factory A/C Car. Believe it is now/still in Marshall,TX.

I'm pretty sure he built that car. Not a factory build.

Yes, he built a "McArthur" car, no doubt about that. He also had the noted 42 2dr A/C car, totally original and documented. Had not been restored when Jim died, so most likely under the radar to most.

I have some photos of a former Hollingsworth owned factory air 4 door Clipper now owned by Terry Weiss in TX. Photos were taken by Archiveman but unfortunately the factory compressor and related mount parts were replaced by a modern Sanden compressor. Comparing the plumbing going into the trunk unit with the photo of the original evaporator setup in the 42 Clipper for sale posting the car also appears to have been modernized there too.
