To go along with what Bob said about the loom routing, the factory wire drawing is laid out in sort of a birds eye view.

Kevin, here is a shot of the tires on the car. The appear relatively unused.

Since they’re LT (Light Truck), they may be 6 or 8 ply which would give them a larger diameter. Those I installed on my 1951 Henney-Packard, which are 7.50X16 8 ply look massive even on such a large car.

My 2¢ says the body style would look better without fender shrouds particularly if the plain blank panel in your photo is all you have. If you have originals or can come up with the accompanying chrome accent and moldings then they don't look as bland and were a proper and probably fairly rare option.

My Kev is, it'll look better without the fender skirts. To my jaundiced eye fender skirts on this era Packards always look like an obvious add on. They do nothing to help the lines of the car.

Let see if this video link works:

https://photos.app.goo.gl/a9qpCsYRmBCiW47A6

I managed to clean the rodent droppings out of the air intake and intake cam. I kicked over the motor until it fired. No water in the block yet.

Also I have to fuel system working, so that was just running off a little starter fluid. Side draft carbs are weird.

There was a big "poof" at the back side of the car. With a pile of rodent nesting being forcefully expelled from the tail pipe.

If anyone has knowledge of Jag motors, let me know as there are items on this motor that are completely foreign to me. For example, what the heck is this doo-dad between the SU Carbs with the red wires connected to it?
