Ahh yes. I'll see if the ones that were on the front 120 bumper are salvageable. There were no guards on the rear split bumper.

I got the word that Ron, who is going to do the woodgraining, is ready for the parts.

So I'll be pulling the dash panels and door moldings back off the car to send to him. He will glass bead them and clean them up as needed before he starts the woodgraining process.

Also, I ordered a couple of headlight junction blocks that are similar to what was used on the '54. I really wanted something that makes disconnecting the front-end electrical quick and easy, as I can imagine I will have all of it apart many times over the life of this project. I'll mount those to the inner fenders.

The horns on this car are tucked up the front frame corners. So completely hidden. I'm pretty sure they are from 55/56. I only found them when I initially removed the front bumper, and the horns were obscuring access to the bolts.

It was an excellent solution to where to put them, and I am sure Mark did that as mounting them in the original location was not really an option with the Jag motor.

They are totally invisible where they are located unless you get underneath the car.

I can also use that junction block to tie the horns together as well. This hopefully gives me a place to tie in front turn signals in the future.

Windows came back in 4 days. Pretty quick, and they look great. When I went to pick them up, someone was there dropping off the glass to get made for a '40 Ford. So I think they do a lot of flat glass work for old cars.

The top of the door window is actually set in a rubber channel, not just setting tape. Luckily he had some in stock.

Also, trivial as it may be, I found the license plate bolts at Napa for 39 cents each.

For anyone in the Chicagoland area this is who I used for the glass:

Just a suggestion, while you have the vent windows out, I would replace the die cast gears in the crank handle mechanism. They don't hold up and are usually stripped,John Ulrich sells an excellent replacement.

Picture I forgot to post yesterday. I pulled all the dash panels to get those ready to be shipped out for woodgrainding. I'm getting pretty good at pulling the dash apart.
