I vote for the Jag engine always liked the look of the cam covers and exhaust manifolds. Also the older Packard guy who did the transplant had a say as he did the engineering and installation. I like to think that Jaguar like Packard was a company with a lot of history and engine design background

When you asked by your niece and nephew if we can bring the Packards to their Trunk or Treating night st their school, then is no way I'm getting upstaged by some soccer mom in a mini-van.

So the 37 was turned into a pirate ship, completely with a cannons, a mast and a treasure chest.

The '37 is back on four skates, and the trunk has been removed. Ready to start the winter tear down to begin the body work and rust repair.

All the bright work and interior panels will go into basement storage to keep them clean.

Good luck! I plan to try and get my leaf springs and rear shocks out sometime in the next week.

Winter is the time for these projects!

That reminds me, I filled and painted these yesterday. So far, 24hrs and no leaks.

Question on post #679, the 3 way switch. I've wired mine up and wondering if it is correct, with the switch in the left position and the headlight switch pulled out , the instument lights will come on. With the three way switch in the right position with the headlight switch pulled out the map light comes on. The three way switch in the middle position nothing happens that I'm aware of. I know I'll have to check if I have power to that middle connection. I never had anything to go by as my car was partialy disassembled and was a basket case project thus the ?'s

What you described is how mine works. The headlight switch must be in an ON position (pulled out), then, the 3-position switch to the left is speedomter/clock/gauges….to the right is map light and the center position is OFF.
