Does anyone know how to disassemble the ignition cylinder in a '37 Packard? Some newer classic cars had a little hole in the front but this does not have that. How can i release the plug from the cylinder so i can decode the key?

Hi Andy, could you provide some pictures of the cylinder?

'55 400. Needs aesthetic parts put back on, and electrical system sorted.
'55 Clipper Deluxe. Engine is stuck-ish.

Figured it out!!! It was just a bit finicky. With a working key (or picked), rotate the cylinder to the ON position. Insert a paperclip into the small hole in the side of the case. If you don't feel springiness, you're not there - keep wiggling the key around until you do.

Once you feel the spring depress with the paperclip. It may take a little bit of wiggling, but the cylinder will come out!
