Starting engine without treadle vac installed

Hello all.

I recently had the treadle vac rebuilt to my 1955 super panama, but not quite ready to install yet. Other work needs to be done. Question is, it's been about 5 months now since the car had been started and I was wondering whether it's ok to do so without treadle vac being hooked up? Is there any danger or anything specific that needs to be done with vacuum houses or system first?

You could always plug the vacuum hose, so you don't have a vacuum leak.
