It may be the time of year. Try them again next week after New Years. I bet they are just away on holidays.

Ah, thanks for the heads-up. I won't be working much at 90 either, not working much now!
If you are looking for a rebuilder I highly recommend 'John Stuart'. Specializes in brake and water pump rebuilds. Got my pump and master/wheel cylinders done there. He is in Stoney Creek Ontario. Just over the border from Buffalo and your US$ goes further here. I sent mine through the post as I had lots of time and it was cheaper than the gas to get there. He deals with the major couriers too.
www.johnstuartpowerbrake.com is their address. Been at it since 1946.

Looks like all of these guys are a million and six. Maybe one of us needs to learn how to rebuild water pumps.

How hard can it be? Literally???

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

Pump is not hard to rebuild…. But….Probably should provided some context here…. Point of my adventure was to modify the pump to accept sealed bearings and not bushings. Was also looking to modify packing style the same way and use modern seal…. But may have missed the mark. Mine is on its way to the Dutchman. Adventure may continue with packing nut style… tbd.

I have a rebuild kit that I bought from Kanter years ago that I plan on using to rebuild one of the water pumps for my 53. From the shop manual it is just a matter of using a press to drive out/in the impeller, shaft, seal and bearing....However with old parts and things like a water pump impeller that was in water for many years, things might be rusty and hard to get apart. I'll update soon on my adventures. Guess it is time to buy me a hydraulic press!
